To me, Stephen Fry’s words are utterly non-controversial. In fact, they’re nonsensical, and he knows it. The denunciation hinges on this: “If he were to exist.” No existence, nothing controversial. For an unbeliever, it’s all superfluous … but the vigorous stirring of pots never goes out of fashion.
