Goodness gracious, what a wonderful album this is (The Brink). I didn’t know the The Jezabels even existed before randomly catching a piece of the band’s music at Allmusic. It’s a golden age for bands with female frontwomen(?) — The Jezabels, Paramore and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs spring to mind.
It’s only March, and I already have a half-dozen contenders for the year’s best album.
By the way, Houndmouth is teasing a “special announcement for our hometown folks” coming today or tomorrow, depending on the time stamp. It’s bigger than a bread box, and it has to do with music. Beyond that, you’re getting nothing out of me.
