If not for the graffiti and a few more panes of broken glass on the Reisz building, it would be hard to tell which year was which. And yet the political perspective remains the same, always, administration through administration: Abject and enduring fear of putting the pedal to the metal, breaking a few eggs, shifting the paradigm, and actually getting something done. In New Albany, caution is defined like this: “Every generation deserves the same deterioration.”
